Emery Oleochemicals Supports Loxstedt Sustainability Day
Loxstedt, Germany (September 19, 2024) – On September 1, 2024, the town of Loxstedt, Germany, hosted its inaugural Loxstedter Nachhaltigkeitstag (Loxstedt Sustainability Day), a vibrant event dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. This event took place around the Loxstedt Townhall and offered a variety of activities and information sessions for all ages.
The event also hosted the 8th “Klimaschutzanker”. The Klimaschutzanker (Climate Protection Anchor) is a pivotal regional initiative aimed at enhancing climate awareness and promoting sustainable practices in the Unterweser region. This collaborative effort involves the districts of Cuxhaven and Wesermarsch, as well as the city of Bremerhaven, and has been a cornerstone of the region’s environmental strategy since its inception in 2017.
Emery Oleochemicals’ team of Joern Ellerbrake, Bjoern Eicker, Cord Roescher, Kevin Henschel, Otfried Lemp, Christian Mueller, Hinrich Hildebrandt and Falk Nebel were present at the Emery Oleochemicals booth to discuss sustainability topics related to the company’s Loxstedt manufacturing site as well as Emery’s LOXIOL®, EDENOL® and DEHYLUB® products. The primary focus was on sustainability matters of the Green Polymer Additives and Bio-Lubricants markets as well as on the company’s roadmap to zero GHG emissions at the Loxstedt site by 2045.
