Mr. Anon Sirisaengtaksin serves as an Advisor of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. His career started at the Department of Mineral Resources, Thailand and covers more than 30 years in government service and various leadership roles with the PTT Group. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Senior Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy and Development of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. He has also served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited.

In addition, Mr. Sirisaengtaksin serves as the Chairman of PTTGC International Private Limited, Chairman of NatureWorks LLC, Chairman of Vencorex Holding, Chairman of PTTGC Innovation America Corp., Chairman of PTTGC International (USA) Inc. and Chairman of PTTGC International (Netherlands) B.V. He also serves as Director and Member of the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee, Banpu PLC; Chairman of Bioeconomy, New S-Curve Committee under the Pracharat PPP Collaboration Project; Council Committee, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang Council and Reform Council, Silpakorn University.

Mr. Sirisaengtaksin holds an MBA from Thammasat University in Thailand and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He holds an Honorary Doctor of Public Administration, Bangkok Thonburi University. He also attended the Capital Market Academy Leadership Program, Class 1, Capital Market Academy in Thailand.

His certifications include: Project Investment Appraisal and Management, Harvard University, U.S.A.; Global Leadership, Harvard University, U.S.A.; Director Certification Program (DCP) Class 73/2006 and Director Accreditation Program (DAP) Class 52/2006 Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD).

Renaka Ramachandran

Mrs. Renaka Ramachandran, 51, a Malaysian, was appointed as the chief Financial Officer of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad on 1 April 2011. In this role, she oversees various departments within the Group, which include finance, information technology, compliance and risk (of the Global Trading and Marketing Unit), procurement, corporate finance and investor relations departments.

She began her career as an Audit Associate with Raj and Associates in 1991 where she was leading small audit engagements until 1992. She joined Coopers and Lybrand (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1002 as an Audit Associated and moved up the ranks to the position of Executive Director on 1 January 2004. As an Executive Director, she was involved in, among other, the audit of public listed companies, review of profit and cash flow forecast and projections for restructurings and initial public offerings, due diligence and financial analysis. Her roles included overseeing working teams, giving presentations and providing training for both internal staff and external clients. She was also the representative of PricewaterhouseCoopers and committee member on the work group of IAS 41 (Accounting Standard on Agriculture) in the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB).

She was qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 and was admitted as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 1998. She became a Fellow of the ACCA in 2002.

Mrs. Ramachandran has been actively involved in the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board for the changes to IAS 41 by working on papers with the MASB for its onward discussion with the International Accounting Standards Board. She is also a member of the Accounting and Taxation Committee of the Malaysia Palm Oil Association and a member of the ACCA Accountants for Business Global Forum.

Mr. Toasaporn Boonyapipat has been working at PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (formerly PTT Chemical Public Company Limited) since 1992. He has more than 20 years of experience in technical and operations of Olefins plant. He handles many projects such as Ethane Cracker Project, various Debottlenecking Project and Butadiene Project including Growth Project Management and High Volume Specialties Business Unit, as well as overseeing and supervising international business operations.

Mr. Boonyapipat is currently the Executive Vice President of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. He also holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of PTTGC America LLC. In addition to this, he is a member of the Board of Directors of PTT Global Chemical’s overseas subsidiaries including Emery Oleochemicals (M) Sdn Bhd, Emery Specialty Chemicals Sdn Bhd, Vencorex Holding, PTTGC International (Netherlands) B.V., PTTGC America Corporation and PTTGC America LLC.

Mr. Boonyapipat holds a Master of Business Administration from Burapa University, Thailand and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (2nd Class Honor) from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. He has also completed the ASEAN Executive Program (AEP), GE Management Development Institute, Crotonville, U.S.A. and the Director Certification Program (DCP), Thai Institute of Directors.

Mr. Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha, 52, a Malaysian, was appointed as the Deputy to Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer, Upstream of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) on 1 January 2019. Apart from assisting the Managing Director with the overall running of the SDPB Group, he also leads the Plantation Upstream business. Mohamad Helmy was appointed as the Managing Director of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad on 1st July 2019.

He began his career as a Trainee Accountant/Auditor with Wellers, Accountants, Oxford, United Kingdom in 1988 where he led various audit and taxation engagements until 1990. He then joined Shell Refining Company (FOM) Bhd in 1991 as Head of General Accounts and later as Project Accountant. In 1993, he assumed the position of Area Accountant for Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd (Southern Region) and subsequently held the role of Indirect Tax Auditor for Shell Malaysia Ltd until his resignation in 1997. At Shell group of companies, he was responsible for credit appraisals and control of customers’ accounts in the region. He was also involved in formulating strategies for all Shell companies in Malaysia to minimize the effects of indirect taxation and maximize efficiency. He spearheaded the company’s strategy to maximize local material sourcing and equipment.

He joined Guthrie Property Holding Sdn Bhd in 1997 as Finance and Administration Manager and worked with the Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad group of companies until 2007. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Highlands & Lowlands Berhad and Guthrie Ropel Berhad, two listed companies within the Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad group from 2006 to 2007. In 2001, he was a key member of the team that acquired and later restructured Minamas Plantation, Indonesia.

Mr. Narongsak Jivakanun, currently the Executive Vice President – International Business Operations, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, has more than 30 years of experience in petrochemical, chemicals, oil refinery and industrial development, strategy and planning roles.

In addition, Mr. Jivakanun holds other management positions including Vice Chairman of the Board of Director and Member of Nomination & Renumeration Committee, Vinythai Public Company Limited (VNT); Director & Risk Management Committee, Global Green Chemicals Company Limited (GGC); Chairman, GC Ventures Company Limited; Chairman, GC Ventures American Corporation; Chairman, GC Estate Company Limited; Director, PTTGC USA LLC; Director, PTTGC USA Corporation; and Director GC Polyols Company Limited.

Mr. Jivakanun holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University, U.S.A. and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He also has completed several other executive programs including: Director Certification Program (DCP) Class 165/2012 at Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD), Certificate from TLCA Leadership Development Program (LDP) Class 1/2013, International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and Executive Certification Program on Energy Literacy for a Sustainable Future (TEA), Class 8/2016 at Thai Energy Academy (TEA).

Shariman Alwani Mohamed

Dr. Shariman Alwani Mohamed Nordin, 49, a Malaysian, was appointed as the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) on 22 January 2018.

He was appointed the Head, Strategy & Business Development of SDPB in February 2014 and is responsible for overseeing the Company’s corporate and innovation strategies. Currently, he is also the Chief Transformation Officer and in this capacity, drives the Company’s Value Creation and Transformation programme.

Prior to joining SDPB, Dr. Shariman was Senior Vice President, Strategy & Value Management in Sime Darby Berhad. He had also served as an Economist at Bank Negara Malaysia from 1992 to 2008 and was Sector Economist in Fidelity Management and Research, Boston, United States of America (USA) from 1999 to 2001.

He holds a PhD in International Economics & Finance from Brandeis University’s International Business School, USA and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Cambridge University, United Kingdom.

Ms. Duangkamol Settanung has been with the PTT Group since 1982. She is currently the Executive Vice President of Finance and Accounting at PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited since November 2015. She also serves as the Executive Vice President at PTT Public Company Limited and Director of Vinythai Public Company Limited, and as a chairman of GC Treasury Center Company Limited, Director of GC Oxirane Company Limited, Director of PTT Phenol Company Limited, Director of PTTGC America LLC, Director of PTTGC America Corporation, and PTT Chemical International Private Limited.

Ms. Settanung’s prior professional work experience within PTT Group included Senior Vice President of Internal Control System, Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Vice President of Finance and Accounting. She also previously served as Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate Accounting and Finance of PTT’s subsidiary, IRPC Public Company Limited. Before joining IRPC Public Company Limited, she served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting of PTT Aromatics and Refining Public Company Limited.

Ms. Settanung holds a Master of Business Administration from Thammasat University, Thailand and also a 1st Class Honor Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Kasetsart University, Thailand. Her certifications include: PTT Executive Program, GE Management Development Institute, Crontonville, USA; Leadership Development Program III, PTT Leadership and Learning Institute; and Director Certification Program (DCP) Class 155/2012, Thai Institute of Directors. In addition, she attended the Capital Market Academy Leadership Program, Class 26, Capital Market Academy, Thailand.

Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad

Mr. Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad, 46, a Malaysian, was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer, Downstream of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) on 1 December 2017 to lead the Downstream business of the SDPB Group.

He began his career in 1995 as a trader with Cargill in Malaysia and later moved to the Philippines where he was involved in, among others, hedging activities in order to establish trading positions and ensuring uninterrupted supply of feedstock into refineries, and assisted with the company’s lauric oil merchandising.

In 2001, he joined Nestle initially based in Kuala Lumpur before moving to London in 2004 to join the company’s global cocoa procurement and price risk management desk. In 2006, he relocated to Singapore to establish Nestle’s Commodity Procurement Centre for Asia, Oceania and Africa Regions and he was appointed as the General Manager and Head of Global Oils and Fats. Under these capacities, he was responsible for leading supplier development works as well as regional oils and fats procurement initiatives.

In 2010, he joined Unilever Plc (Singapore) as Director of Commodity Risk Management where he was in charge of managing Unilever’s global oils and fats price exposure within the company’s annual spend budget, developing market analysis and price forecasting, and introduced the use of optimal and appropriate hedging tools.

In 2014, he joined SDPB as the Head of Global Trading and Marketing (GTM)/Downstream Manufacturing (DM) where he oversees the growth contribution of both GTM and DM to the overall revenue stream of SDPB.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, U.S.A.

Muhammad Nurazli Razali

Mr. Muhammad Nurazli Razali is currently the Head of Sime Darby Renewables, a business unit within Sime Darby's Plantation Division which focuses on converting palm-based feedstocks into value-added products.

Mr. Razali was previously an Investment Banker with Credit Suisse. He specialized in mergers & acquisition as well as hostile takeover defense, then later joined Sime Darby Berhad and was assigned to set up the business development and corporate finance unit in Consolidated Plantations Berhad in 2004. He also served as the Vice President of Group Strategy and Business Development where he worked closely with the Plantation and Energy & Utilities Divisions of Sime Darby Group.

Mr. Razali graduated from Cambridge University, United Kingdom and attended the Senior Management Development Program by Harvard Business School, U.S.A. He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of England and Wales (ICAEW).

Mr. Pratit Lohateerapap joined PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (“GC”) Group in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he served as Vice President, International Business Development, of GC’s subsidiary, PTT Chemical International (Asia Pacific ROH) Limited with expertise in International Business Development and M&A. He was appointed as Vice President, Global Operations, Strategic Projects and Technologies of Vencorex Holding, France (on secondment from GC) from 2012 to 2016 meanwhile he also served as the Board of Director and Managing Director of Vencorex (Thailand) from 2013 to 2016. His other professional work experiences within GC included Vice President, Production Planning, Sales & Strategic Marketing - Polymer, from 2016 to 2018. His current role is Vice President, Chief Operating Excellence Office.

Prior to joining GC Group, Mr. Lohateerapap worked at ExxonMobil Group from 1991 to 2008 in various positions covering Refining Maintenance, Process Technical, Refining & Aromatics Operations and Corporate Finance including many years in regional management roles in Energy and Capacity Utilization before leaving the Group to join GC.

Mr. Lohateerapap graduated with a Master degree in Project Management from ECEMA University, Lyon France and a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

Mr. Lohateerapap joined PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (“GC”) Group in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he served as Vice President, International Business Development, of GC’s subsidiary, PTT Chemical International (Asia Pacific ROH) Limited with expertise in International Business Development and M&A. He was appointed as Vice President, Global Operations, Strategic Projects and Technologies of Vencorex Holding, France (on secondment from GC) from 2012 to 2016 meanwhile he also served as the Board of Director and Managing Director of Vencorex (Thailand) from 2013 to 2016. His other professional work experiences within GC included Vice President, Production Planning, Sales & Strategic Marketing - Polymer, from 2016 to 2018. His current role is Vice President, Chief Operating Excellence Office.

Prior to joining GC Group, Mr. Lohateerapap worked at ExxonMobil Group from 1991 to 2008 in various positions covering Refining Maintenance, Process Technical, Refining & Aromatics Operations and Corporate Finance including many years in regional management roles in Energy and Capacity Utilization before leaving the Group to join GC.

Mr. Lohateerapap graduated with a Master degree in Project Management from ECEMA University, Lyon France and a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

 
Jay Taylor

Group Chief Executive Officer

Jay Taylor, who has over 35 years of senior leadership and manufacturing experience in the Petrochemical and Oleochemicals industry, is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Emery Oleochemicals Group. He was appointed on April 1, 2020. In his current capacity as GCEO, Jay is responsible for driving global performance improvements in the Group to achieve sustainable growth and to optimize shareholders value.

Additionally, Jay holds the roles of Chief Manufacturing Officer, Head of Major Projects, and Regional Managing Director for North America and Europe. In these leadership and general management roles, Jay is responsible for providing global operational coordination and guidance in all relevant functions including safety, budgeting, regulatory and environmental compliance and stewardship, personnel development and operational efficiencies; overseeing project development and management, systems adherence, governance controls and efficiencies; and spearheading Emery’s business and operations in North America and Europe.

Jay's previous career experience includes leadership roles at Huntsman where he was responsible for managing five of their polymer plants overseeing their operations, environmental compliance, engineering, quality, safety and reliability.

Jay has a Bachelor of Science degree from Lubbock Christian University, Texas.

 
Billy Yeoh
Head, Specialties Business

Starting his tenure at Emery Oleochemicals in 1998, Billy began his career as a Marketing Executive responsible for the Coatings & Inks and Plastics Technology divisions, based out of the Malaysia office. Quickly gaining a strong foothold in these high-growth sectors, he took on an international portfolio with his promotion as the Asia Pacific Regional Business Manager, Plastics Technology and subsequently, as the Asia Pacific Regional Business Director overseeing the Fatty Alcohols and Oleo Derivatives business. In these two roles, Billy is credited for establishing high-performance teams which expanded market share, sales revenue and profitability.

Leaving the company to pursue other interests in 2007, he gained further expertise in the areas of general management , operations, and technical support covering Asia and North America. Re-joining Emery Oleochemicals in 2011, Billy took up dual roles as the Regional Sales Director and Regional Head of Oleobasics, Americas based out of Cincinnati – where he still resides today. Having grown the business triple-fold through strategic go-to-market initiatives and effective collaboration with the North America operations team, he was promoted to the role of Global Business Director in January 2016.

In his current role as Head, Specialties Business, Billy is responsible for delivering strategic growth through the execution of projects across the company’s six distinct business groups. As a key member of the senior leadership at the company, he focuses on driving operational excellence in the company’s multicultural, multinational organization while delivering superior, sustainable products to help ensure customer success.

He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Economics, both earned at the University of Western Australia.

Anthony Cheong

Group Chief Financial Officer

Anthony Cheong, a Malaysian, is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Emery Oleochemicals Group. He was appointed on 3 October 2017 and has more than 28 years of accounting, taxation, audit, financial, treasury and risk management experience largely in the manufacturing environment with multinational Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Chemical and Oleochemicals companies.

In his current role, he is responsible for Finance and Information Technology of the Group and oversees the Malaysia’s operations of Human Resource and Non-Feedstock Procurement function.

Anthony joined Emery Oleochemicals in May 2008 as their Asia Pacific CFO before relocating to Cincinnati, USA in December 2009 as the CFO of North America. During his two years here he was also the Global Finance Lead to the Group’s Oleobasics business to provide business analysis and strategy support. He returned to Malaysia in January 2012 and assumed the position of Global Finance Director - Major Projects and Manufacturing Support and led the Group’s large capital expenditure appraisal and cost control. He moved on as the Global Finance Director - Finance Operations in September 2013 where his responsibilities included Group financial reporting, taxation, transfer pricing, compliance and implementation of accounting standards and policies globally.

Prior to joining Emery Oleochemicals, Anthony began his career in January 1991 as an audit assistant before moving to Colgate Palmolive Malaysia in October 1991 in various senior finance analyst roles. He continued his career as a Finance manager with Danone Malaysia in January 1999 and in May 2003, he joined Cabot Malaysia, a leading global specialty chemicals company and was awarded a Global Excellence Award for successfully implemented various finance projects across six Asia Pacific countries.

Anthony is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.
