Emery Oleochemicals’ Green Polymer Additives Business to Present Innovative, Sustainable Additives at Chinaplas 2023
DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY (April 3, 2023) – Emery Oleochemicals, a leading global producer of natural-based specialty chemicals, will showcase its line of performance polymer additives at Chinaplas 2023 in Hall 17 at Booth 17A120. The 35th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries is being held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Shenzhen, Guangdong, PR China from April 17th - 20th 2023.
Together with its distributors, JiaXing BASA International Trade Co. Ltd and Alliance Additives Company Ltd., the Green Polymer Additives (GPA) business team of Emery Oleochemicals will showcase innovations in natural-based additives that offer more sustainable solutions by using renewable feedstock and green chemistries.

The production site in Malaysia was sold to implement our ongoing strategy to focus more on specialty chemicals instead of base chemicals in Asia. After not being able to participate at the previous Chinaplas due to the pandemic, the Green Polymer Additives business team is eager to demonstrate their latest product innovations in natural-based polymer additives. Asia is a key market for Emery Oleochemicals and we are already in the process of establishing a new production complex in this region while securing local supply for the coming years until the new site is fully operative. The existing production sites in Cincinnati, OH, USA and Loxstedt, Germany as well as the Technical Development Centers there continue to support our global activities. Special focus at the Chinaplas 2023 booth will be Emery’s latest product innovations for bioplastics, including EDENOL® 1208 which is a fully biodegradable plasticizer that can replace PBAT in PLA blends, and Emery’s new 100 % bio-based and biodegradable polymeric plasticizers, EDENOL® 2178 and EDENOL® 2192, that offer both high-performance and sustainability. In addition, the GPA team will showcase the company’s renewable alternatives to hydrocarbon and montan waxes, food contact compliant antistatic and antifogging agents LOXIOL® VPA 1726 and LOXIOL® AF 90 for polyolefins and additives for bioplastics.
