Ohio Chemistry Technology Council Award


03 May 2010 - On 19 April, Emery Oleochemicals LLC received the OCTC Excellence Award for environmental performance at a ceremony in Columbus OH. The award recognized the significant reduction in air and waste water emissions over the past 3 years. The environmental emissions reductions include:

Air Emissions Reductions

  • Sulfur Dioxide - 37%
  • Nitrogen Oxides - 30%
  • Acid Gasses - 34%
  • Particulate Matter - 72%
  • TRI reported VOC's - 62%

Waste Water Emissions Reduction

  • Water Volume - 27%
  • Biological Oxygen Demand - 37%

Accepting the award for Emery Oleochemicals were Michael Groh, SHE & Training Manager, Bob Squires, Global Head of Operations, Jay Taylor, Regional Director of Operations & General Manager.
