Ohio Governor Meets up with Emery Oleochemicals’ BODs
During the Board of Directors world tour to the United States in February, members of the Emery Oleochemicals BOD and several North American managers, met with Ohio Governor Ted Strickland to discuss the development of a new technology that has been developed for making renewable ester polyols.
The discussion centered on the possible State support for this capital investment through a State supported Third Frontier Grant. Money from this grant will speed the development and construction of a “proof of concept” plant. This in turn will speed up the construction of a full scale production plant.
Also attended the meeting were Ohio Department of Development Director, Lisa Patt-McDaniel, Ohio Department of Agriculture Director, Bob Boggs, Dr. Stephen Myer- Director of Ohio Bio-products Innovation Center, Tom Fontana- Director of Ohio Soybean Council, and Rick Heggs- Senior Marketing Manager for Battelle Research Institute.
