EDENOL® 1234 - New polymeric plasticizer with high viscosity!

Flexible PVC applications can be categorized as requiring either general or higher performance characteristics. In many application areas specification requirements are becoming increasingly more severe requiring the use of polymeric polyester plasticizers in compounding. Polymeric plasticizers provide excellent migration, volatility, fluid chemical extraction, and/or weathering resistance in higher performance applications compared with that obtained from monomeric plasticizers alone.

A new product belongs to the group of polymeric plasticizers at Emery Oleochemicals:
EDENOL® 1234, a high viscous polymeric plasticizer mainly used for PVC processing, but also compatible with many other polymers, e. g. VC copolymers, nitrocellulose, celluloseacetobutyrate and various rubbers.

Application:
Flexible PVC + Rubber, cables, tubes, foils, profiles, films, coil-coating and cast films

Advantages of EDENOL® 1234:

EDENOL® 1234 is a slightly yellowish, high viscous liquid material and available in drum (200 kg), IBC (900 kg) and bulk (10-12 to or 20-24 to).

EDENOL® 1234 shows high extraction resistance against many systems, like oils and fats, bitumen and water based systems. Comparison of extraction resistance of various monomeric/polymeric plasticizers:
