Kongkrapan Intarajang, Ph.D. Group Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Kongkrapan has got his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, Texas. He is currently the CEO, a member of the Board and the Executive Committee of Emery Oleochemicals Group.

He is also a Board member of PTT Chemical International, a Vice Chairman of Federation of Thai Industry - Petrochemical, etc.

With more than 15 years of experience in the petrochemical and chemical industry, his experience includes corporate strategy, business development, project development, joint venture, research and development, and corporate finance & investor relations. He has been working with Thailand’s PTT Chemical Public Company Limited throughout his career in various senior positions including Senior Vice President overseeing Performance Products Business Unit and Corporate Business Development, Chairman of the board for a number of PTT Chemical subsidiaries such as TOC Glycol, Thai Ethanolamines, and Thai Choline Chloride, President and board member of Thai Oleochemicals, etc.

Ramesh Kana Global Chief Financial Officer

Ramesh Kana, Global Chief Financial Officer joined Emery in October 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Masters of Enterprise & Innovation, both from Swinburne University and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia). He has a diverse background encompassing accounting, strategy and investment banking.

Ramesh spent most of his career working internationally with the Royal Dutch Shell Group. He commenced his career with the company in Australia and subsequently moved to Beijing, principally responsible for downstream finance and portfolio strategy for North East Asia.

He then joined Shell’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas business out of London managing mergers, acquisitions and divestments globally. Ramesh subsequently moved to Latin America as Executive Vice President Finance & IT for Central America and the Caribbean. In his last role prior to leaving Shell, he re-located to Malaysia where he established a regional Finance & Management consultancy business for the Shell Group out of Kuala Lumpur and Beijing.

In 2007, Ramesh became Director of a boutique investment banking group out of Sydney. He established and led the firm’s Melbourne office and managed various Australian, Asian and African equity investments.

Ramesh Kana was an inaugural scholar of the Sir “Weary” Dunlop Asia Leadership program in Australia and served on the Council of Swinburne University in Melbourne.

Derek Ng Global Head of Strategy & Global Head of Fatty Acids

Derek Ng See Cheet, born in 1962. He joined the Corporate Headquarters as the Head of Global Strategy in May 2009. He graduated from University of Manitoba, Canada with Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Derek has over 23 years of manufacturing industry and international trade experience for palm oils commodity, specialty fats, cocoa products and oleochemicals. Prior to his joining to the Group; he was the Managing Director and Board Member for KLK Oleochemicals’ Strategic Business Unit in China. He had hold over 17 years of technical and senior management positions in KLK manufacturing group, going through various sites covering basic and specialties business, project and overall operation P&L’s management.

Azuddin Rahman Global Head of Specialties

Azuddin Rahman took up the position as Vice President Emery Oleochemicals Asia in October 2006. He studied Industrial Chemistry at the Mara University of Technology, Malaysia, and started his career at Colgate Palmolive Malaysia in 1986. Azuddin joined Henkel Chemicals Malaysia as Product Group Manager in 1990, and became Regional Product Manager Surfactants at the Henkel Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters in 1997.

With the setting-up of Cognis, Azuddin’s international assignments began in 1998 as Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific based in Cognis Japan. Two years later, he moved to Thailand to take over the position as Regional Business Director for Cognis Care Chemicals until 2004. Prior to joining Emery Oleochemicals in October 2006, he was President Director of PT Cognis Indonesia and Regional Sales Director for Care Chemicals, Asia Pacific.

Kung Chee Wan Global Head of Fatty Alcohols

Newly appointed, Global Head of Fatty Alcohol, was born in 1968 and holds a Bachelor of Chemical and Process Engineering (Honours) from University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He has been with the company since 2002.

Kung has held various positions within the company since he came in board. He was the Site Operation Director of Fatty Acid, Glycerine, Methylester and Fatty Alcohols manufacturing facilities in Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor. His role encompasses production, supply chain, quality control and quality assurance. In early 2008, he moved to Sales/Marketing Division, heading the Fatty Acid, Glycerine, Methylester and Fatty Alcohols business for the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Emery Oleochemcials, Kung spent his early career in Petrochemical industry, served Titan Chemical Group from 1992 – 2002 where he was involved in the construction of 2 ethylene crackers and subsequently managed various production and engineering functions of the ethylene cracker and its downstream plant.

Dr. Martin Bähr Global Head of Research & Technologies

In 1989, he started his career with Henkel AG as scientific manager. After different assignments within subsidiaries of the Henkel group based in Germany, he took over the responsibility as general manager of Stalo Chemicals and Neynaber Chemie in 2002, both affiliates of the Cognis GmbH. In 2006 he joined Emery Oleochemicals GmbH responsible for the European R&T, supply chain and production activities as Chief Operations Officer.

Robert J. Squires Global Head of Operations

Robert J (Bob) Squires, Emery Oleochemicals' Global Head of Operations. Bob joined Emery Oleochemicals LLC in Cincinnati in March 2006 as Director of Operations and subsequently appointed President of the Company on August 1, 2007. He received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo in Canada. Bob has over 26 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, particularly in the area of Environmental Health & Safety, and chemical plant optimization. Prior to joining Emery Oleochemicals, he worked for 13 years with Huntsman Corporation, managing 9 operating units in several locations in Canada and the United States.

Andreas Meinz Global Head of Corporate Services

Andreas Meinz, born in 1959, is the Vice President for the Europe region and Managing Director of Emery Oleochemicals GmbH. He obtained his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne, Germany in 1984. He has over 20 years of executive level experience in the chemical industry with a proven track record in general management, restructuring and generating profitable growth.

In 1985, he started his career with Chemische Werke Hüls AG (now Evonik) as Marketing Manager, and returning from assignments as General Manager of subsidiaries in the US and Brazil, in 1994 was appointed a Managing Director of Contensio GmbH (now Sasol, a carve-out of Hüls AG involved in Surfactants, Solvents and Fats). In 1997 he transferred to Hüls' subsidiary Stockhausen GmbH to take up the position as its CEO and VP Global Business Unit Superabsorbents within Degussa AG, also serving as board member of Stockhausen LLC. After an appointment as MD of Xella GmbH in 2003, a company involved in construction materials, he joined Cognis in 2005 as its Vice President, Oleochemicals Europe. His responsibilities in addition to leading operations in Germany include overseeing the European business operations of the Group and its activities in Latin America.
