Datuk Franki Anthony Dass
Chairman of Board of Directors

Franki Anthony Dass started his career in Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad in 1980 as an Assistant Manager and has over 20 years of plantation experience. After various postings across Malaysia, Franki assumed the post of General Manager of PT Minamas in Indonesia in 2002. He subsequently became the Chief Operating Officer of PT Minamas in 2004, before assuming the post of Chief Executive Officer in 2007. He was appointed as Acting Executive Vice President, in May 2010.

Franki holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Agriculture from the Universiti Pertanian Malaysia and has attended various management and MBA programs with MIM and AIM.

Anon Sirisaengtaksin
Member of Board of Directors

Anon's career started at the Department of Mineral Resources, Thailand and covers more than 30 years in government service and various roles of responsibility with PTT Group including pipeline construction, gas compression, system analysis, natural gas marketing and transmission, natural gas supply and trading, corporate strategy and business development, and exploration & production business.

Anon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Chulalongkorn University, an MBA from Thammasart University and certificates in "Project Investment Appraisal and Management" and "Global Leadership" from Harvard University, USA.

Toasaporn Boonyapipat
Member of Board of Directors and Chairman of Executive, Risk and Audit Committees

Toasaporn, currently the Senior Vice President, International Performance Management of PTT Global Chemical PLC (PTTGC), joined PTT Global Chemical PLC in 1992 (known then as PTT Chemical Public Company Limited). He has handled key assignments in areas such as Growth Project Management and High Volume Specialties Unit.

Today, Toasaporn additionally holds other management positions including Chief Executive Officer of Vencorex Holding and is a board member of many international subsidiaries of PTTGC.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Chiangmai University and a Master in Business Administration, Burapa University, Thailand. He also has completed the ASEAN Executive Programme (AEP), GE Management Development Institute, Crotonville, U.S.A.

Renaka Ramachandran
Member of Board of Directors and Executive, Risk and Audit Committees

Renaka joined Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd in April 2011 as the Chief Financial Officer of Finance Division. Prior to joining Sime Darby, she was an Executive Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia.

Her current role now includes the financial oversight of companies within the Plantation Division of Sime Darby Berhad.

Renaka has had over 18 years of experience in providing audit and business advisory services to clients, both local and public listed companies and multinationals, in various industries in her previous role in PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and member of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board Working Group on ED 50 Biological Assets (IAS 41).

Kongkrapan Intarajang, Ph.D
Member of Board of Directors

Dr. Kongkrapan has more than 20 years of experience in the global petrochemical and chemical arenas. His areas of expertise include overseeing corporate strategy, business development, major project development, international M&A, R&D, and corporate finance & investor relations divisions.

He is currently the Executive Vice President, International Business Operations of PTT Global Chemical; and a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Risk and Audit Committee of Emery Oleochemicals Group.

Dr. Kongkrapan has been working with Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited throughout his career, holding various senior positions including Senior Vice President overseeing Performance Products Business Unit and Corporate Business Development, Chairman of the board for a number of PTT Global Chemical's subsidiaries (TOC Glycol and Thai Ethanolamines), President and board member of Thai Oleochemicals, and board member of PTT Chemical International Pte Ltd.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, Texas.

Shariman Alwani, Ph.D.
Member of Board of Directors and Executive, Risk and Audit Committees

Shariman Alwani is the Head of Strategy & Business Development in Sime Darby Plantation. His key roles include strategy formulation, investment evaluation and mergers & acquisition for the Plantation Division of the Sime Darby Group. He took over his current portfolio in February 2014.

He joined Sime Darby in 2008 as Head of Value Management and Investor Relations. His key responsibilities were in the areas of strategic planning, market intelligence and research, investor relations and performance management, covering all sectors of Sime Darby Group.

He obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst certification in 2000. He holds a degree in Economics from University of Cambridge and a PhD in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, prior to joining Sime Darby, he was head of Financial Market Surveillance, Monetary Analysis and Strategy Department, Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia).

Muhammad Nurazli Razali
Member of Board of Directors

Azli Razali is currently the Head of Sime Darby Renewables, a business unit within Sime Darby’s Plantation Division which focuses on converting palm-based feedstocks into value-added products. A Yayasan Sime Darby Scholar, Azli joined as an investment banker with Credit Suisse in London following his graduation. Specialising in mergers & acquisition as well as hostile takeover defence, he later returned to Sime Darby Berhad and was assigned to setup the business development and corporate finance unit in Consolidated Plantations Berhad in 2004. Prior to his current role in Sime Darby Renewables, Azli was the Vice President of Group Strategy and Business Development and worked closely with the Plantation and Energy & Utilities Divisions of Sime Darby Group. Azli graduated from Cambridge University and attended the Senior Management Development Programme by Harvard Business School. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of England and Wales (ICAEW).

Duangkamol Settanung
Member of Board of Directors

Duangkamol has been with the PTT Group since 1982. From 2011 to 2015, she served as Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Accounting and Finance of PTT’s subsidiary, IRPC Public Company Limited. Before joining IRPC Public Company Limited, she served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting of PTT Aromatics and Refining Public Company Limited. Duangkamol was appointed to her current role as Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited in November 2015. Her other professional work experiences within PTT Group include Senior Vice President of Internal Control System, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Vice President of Finance and Accounting. She graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Thammasat University, Thailand and also holds 1st class honour in Bachelor of Science from Kasetsart University, Thailand.

Shariman Alwani, Ph.D.
Member of Board of Directors and Executive, Risk and Audit Committees

Kornkamol Korpaisarn
Member of Executive, Risk and Audit Committees and Alternate Member, Board of Directors

Kornkamol is a Vice President of PTT Chemical International Private Limited, an international investment arm of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. With more than 15 years of experiences in managing global businesses, her areas of expertise include strategic planning and development, international M&A, corporate restructuring as well as investment portfolio management. In her current role with PTT Chemical International, she is responsible for planning and managing international investment portfolio.

Prior to joining PTT Chemical International, Kornkamol had worked as an investment banker and a strategic consultant for clients mainly in Energy and State-owned Enterprise sectors for various leading organizations. In addition, she also served as the Head of Business Planning and Analysis for Novartis International AG, a multinational pharmaceutical company, based in San Francisco, United States.

Kornkamol holds an MBA degree from University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Thammasat University, Thailand.

Ramesh Kana
Group Chief Executive Officer & Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific

Ramesh brings over 25 years of diverse international experience to Emery Oleochemicals Group, gained from the oil and gas, investment banking and accounting sectors.

He built his career at the Royal Dutch Shell Group, holding key positions in Australia, China, Malaysia, United Kingdom and Latin America. During this time, he successfully established and grew a Finance & Management consultancy business in Asia Pacific, led a Global Merger & Acquisitions team out of London, was the Executive Vice President Finance for Central America & Caribbean based in Latin America; and managed the Finance & Portfolio Strategy for North East Asia based in Beijing.

Returning to Australia in 2005, he held roles as Chairman of a listed mining services company and was Director, Investment Banking with a Sydney-based corporate finance house.

Since joining Emery Oleochemicals in 2009 as Group Chief Financial Officer, Ramesh has played a key leadership role in driving and implementing various growth strategies - decisively positioning the company for its next generation of global expansion in the area of natural-based specialty chemicals.

As the Group Chief Executive Officer, he is resolute in driving Emery Oleochemicals' long-term ambitions through his deep understanding and experience of the company’s business, culture, people, partners and industry.

Ramesh has recently been elected as the President of the Global Compact Network Malaysia, the local chapter of United Nations Global Compact - world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability leadership platform focused on the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible and sustainable corporate policies and practices.

Ramesh holds a Bachelor degree in Business (Accounting), a Master in Enterprise & Innovation, and is an Australian Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Jay Taylor
Senior Vice President, Chief Manufacturing Officer & Regional Managing Director for Americas and Europe

Jay, who has over 25 years of manufacturing experience in the petrochemical and oleochemicals industry, is the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Manufacturing Officer. Additionally, he holds the role of Regional Managing Director for the Americas and Europe.

In his current capacity, Jay provides global operational coordination and guidance in all relevant functions including safety, budgeting, environmental compliance and stewardship, personnel development and operational efficiencies. As the Head of Major Projects too, he oversees project development and management, systems adherence, governance controls and efficiencies. In providing Leadership and General Management duties for the Americas and Europe, he leads the operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and is a key point of contact for all internal and external parties related to Emery Oleochemicals’ local operations.

Jay's previous career experience before joining Emery Oleochemicals includes working at Huntsman Polymers Corporation in various management roles and has had the opportunity of managing four of their operating units.

Jay has a Bachelor of Science degree from Lubbock Christian University, Texas.

Billy Yeoh
Chief Business Officer

Starting his tenure at Emery Oleochemicals in 1998, Billy began his career as a Marketing Executive responsible for the Coatings & Inks and Plastics Technology divisions, based out of the Malaysia office. Quickly gaining a strong foothold in these high-growth sectors, he took on an international portfolio with his promotion as the Asia Pacific Regional Business Manager, Plastics Technology and subsequently, as the Asia Pacific Regional Business Director overseeing the Fatty Alcohols and Oleo Derivatives business. In these two roles, Billy is credited for establishing high-performance teams which expanded market share, sales revenue and profitability.

Leaving the company to pursue other interests in 2007, he gained further expertise in the areas of general management , operations, and technical support covering Asia and North America. Re-joining Emery Oleochemicals in 2011, Billy took up dual roles as the Regional Sales Director and Regional Head of Oleobasics, Americas based out of Cincinnati – where he still resides today. Having grown the business triple-fold through strategic go-to-market initiatives and effective collaboration with the North America operations team, he was promoted to the role of Global Business Director in January 2016.

As a key member of the senior leadership at the company, Billy will be responsible for delivering strategic growth through the execution of projects across the company’s six distinct business groups. In this new role, he will focus on driving operational excellence in the company’s multicultural, multinational organization while delivering superior, sustainable products to help ensure customer success.

He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Economics, both earned at the University of Western Australia.

Douglas da Silva Rosa
Chief Technology Officer

Since joining Emery Oleochemicals in 1983, Douglas has gained some 30 years of experience in the chemicals industry. He was named the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in 2014.

In this capacity, Douglas shapes the overall technology vision and strategy, drive cross-business group synergy, and strengthen product research and development capabilities. He also oversees the Intellectual Property and Product and Application Development teams, and the running of the Regional Technical Development Centres and Knowledge Management processes.

Prior to transitioning into the CTO role, he held the position of Global Business Director, Eco-Friendly Polyols and was in charge of infrastructure design, technology implementation, product and new business development of customisable, bio-based polyols for various high-growth industries.

Douglas began his career with the company as the Production Development Head (Brazil) and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility, spanning assignments in engineering, maintenance, production and supply chain management. He has successfully lead plant start-ups and new venture developments throughout Emery Oleochemicals’ global operations which include international work experience in Germany and Malaysia.

Douglas received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Faculdades Oswaldo Cruz and his MBA at Fundacao Getulio Vargas, both located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
